#FashionFriday we pay homage to the iconic wrap dress. When Diane von Furstenberg patented the design in 1974, she cemented her place in fashion history. The wrap dress remains a closet staple because it was designed to flatter all types of bodies. The asymmetrical design uses a woman's curves to dictate how the dress lays, creating a natural and flattering silhouette. Furstenberg made the dress in a multitude of fabrics and designs, and by 1976, she was producing 20,000 wrap dresses a week. Check out this week's Fashion Archives blog to learn more about one of the most iconic dress styles of the 20th century (link in bio).
