"Sunday night" dress, gold silk and lace with jade pendant, 1927-1928. "Sunday night" was a phrase used to classify short-sleeved dresses that were too formal for afternoon, but not formal enough to be considered an evening gown, like the late #1920s dress seen here. This beautiful silk dress was purchased in the late 1920s at #hutzlers in Baltimore. Join us on June 28th to see this and several other Hutzler Bros. garments on display at our Annual Meeting! See website for more details. 1974.14.3 Gift of Mrs. Campbell Lloyd Stirling. #fashionhistory#FashionFriday#vintage#roaring20s#roaringtwenties#1920sfashion#1920sdress#1920sStyle#20sfashion#vintagefashion
