GIVEAWAY TIME 🥚👀 Celebrating 1 MONTH of  “Mildred Howard: Poetics of Memory”!  Go behind the scenes of installing “Crossings,” Mildred Howard’s powerful, large-scale installation inspired by the history and trauma of the Middle Passage. For this installation, OMCA preparators hand-carved individual divots to hold each ceramic egg in place, then carefully secured every egg to the structure using a substance similar to orthodontic wax—an intricate process that reflects the care and precision behind bringing this monumental work to life. GIVEAWAY: • Comment your guess: how many eggs are in “Crossings”? • Follow @oaklandmuseumca  • Winner will receive 2 tickets to OMCA, exclusive goodies, + more surprises 🎁  Winner announced soon! 🎟️ Tickets at the link in bio! #OaklandMuseumCA #MildredHoward #BayAreaArtist #ArtExhibition #MuseumBehindTheScenes
