When I tell people now that I used to be incredibly, PAINFULLY, shy at one point in my life (a large portion of my life), nobody can believe it. Learning to 'be the one' who is actually honest about what they enjoy has lead me to find people in my life who share my interests, share my joy and share my excitement. Both in the real world and online. If somebody makes you feel uncomfortable for something you enjoy, they're just not your people, and that's okay.
