Behind the scenes of bringing a museum icon back to life 👀🦌 Our resident pronghorn are officially back on view after conservation + repair work in the lava tube diorama—and they’re looking incredible. Fun fact: Pronghorn can sprint up to 60 mph and keep that speed over long distances (sorry, cheetahs 😅). Some herds also migrate more than 150 miles across the American West. Huge shoutout to our preparators + conservators for the meticulous work it takes to preserve and reinstall historic specimens like these 👏 Come see them up close in the Gallery of California Natural Sciences! 📍Link in bio to plan your visit #Pronghorn #NaturalHistory #MuseumTok #BehindTheScenes #CaliforniaWildlife #Taxidermy #Conservation #BayArea #OaklandMuseum #VisitOakland #LearnOnTikTok #NatureTok
