REALNESS, 2023 • Here I use a random page of Vogue to create a freestyle mixed media collage. My self-imposed rules are to use a single page (and just one side of that page) to make a piece of artwork without any further constraints. This is a departure from my usual process, as image-sourcing has always been such a big part of it - sifting through magazines and experimenting by bringing images together. Here I remove that part of the process altogether, setting myself the challenge of composing a design without prior knowledge of the source-material.
