Today is the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. Throughout history and especially during World War II, Boeing military platforms made an integral contribution to achieving VE Day. Boeing aircraft like the B-17 Flying Fortress and Douglas C-47 Skytrain were used by the Allies in this campaign. As part of the anniversary, aircraft including #P8, C-17 #Globemaster and RC-135W Rivet Joint took to the skies above London and over Buckingham Palace.
