Warriors, show us what you’re made of! For four intense days, 15 Idaho National Guard Soldiers competed for the title of Best Warrior by participating in multiple challenging tests with little sleep, very high stress, and high physical and mental demands.

The Idaho Army National Guard hosted its Best Warrior Competition on Sept. 14-17 at Gowen Field and at the Orchard Combat Training Center near Boise, Idaho. Sgt. Matthew Musser was selected as NCO of the Year and Spc. Bryson Carter was selected as Soldier of the Year. 

The winners, Musser and Carter, will move on to compete in the Regional Best Warrior Competition in the spring of 2024 for the chance to move further to the national level of the Army National Guard’s Best Warrior Competition later next year.
