In September 2011, 11-year-old Simone Boice ran to meet her dad, Maj. Paul Boice, as he returned home to Boise from a deployment with the Idaho Army National Guard’s 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team. Last week, Col. Boice ran to meet Sgt. Boice as she returned to the same spot after her own deployment with the 116th CBCT. “Any happiness and pride I felt at that moment after returning home in 2011 and serving my country was completely eclipsed by witnessing my daughter follow in my footsteps 12 years later,” Col. Boice said. #nationalguard #armynationalguard #idahonationalguard #idahoarmynationalguard #idarng #116thcbct #homecoming #armylife #likefatherlikedaughter #dad #daughter #usarmy #army #family #army #military #militaryfamily
