Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, which honors the millions of Americans who served during the Vietnam War. March 29, 1973, was the day United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disestablished and also the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam. There are an estimated seven million Vietnam veterans still alive. Today, we honor them, and their families, and thank them for their service to our country.
