Last night, the Idaho Army National Guard’s State Aviation Group assisted the Boise County Sheriff’s Office with the rescue of an injured hiker along the Deadwood River, north of Lowman. Air St. Luke’s was unable to land near the patient due to the terrain and requested the hoist support of an Idaho Army National Guard’s UH-60 Black Hawk. A flight crew was able to locate the patient and transfer her to a Boise County Sheriff deputy for transport to additional medical aid. The National Guard: Always Ready.
