October 16th is National Boss’s Day! This day recognizes hardworking bosses who oversee the workplace. For today, Channey discusses who her boss is at the Sacramento History Museum. She also letterpress printed a photo engraving from the Brett from Pennsylvania Collection. The print is of a cartoon of a boss sitting behind a desk while an employee is standing. The boss has a hand on a switch to illuminate a large sign behind him that says “NO” with the text, “Company’s Way of Expediting Grievances,” at the top. This was printed with blue rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. #NationalBossDay #boss #museum #SacHistoryMuseum #printing
