Join us for a walk through the park to explore the vital role urban parks play in our local ecosystems and communities for our second annual First Day Hike on the park grounds of Sutter’s Fort SHP and the CA State Indian Museum. The tour times for January 1, 2026 will 11:30 am and 1:00 pm. Please meet at the bridge between the ponds in the center of the park. Remember to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for a light walk in Sacramento. The State Indian Museum and Sutter's Fort SHP will be closed for the holiday but the surrounding park grounds are open and accessible for visitors to enjoy. In this video, Marco, who will be the tour guide, and some help from our urban hiker Anthony, discusses the tour and what to expect. We hope to see you there! #suttersfort #stateindianmuseum #castateparks #sactiktok #sacramento
