August 4th is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! Like many of these “national holidays,” it gives us an excuse to highlight some of our cuts in our print shop. However, we do not have a cut of a baked cookie, nor many foods. For today though, Howard letterpress printed one of the photo engravings from the miscellaneous collection in our print shop. The cut is of an old company logo of the word cookie with a smiley face using the O’s for eyes. There is a bull to the right in the print. This was printed with yellow oil base ink using our Washington hand press. #SacHistoryMuseum #ChocolateChipCookieDay #cookies #cookie #sacramento #museum #History #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #printing
