We are building up a variety of greeting cards for different holidays, observances, and occasions. This card is for a special person in your life…who also likes planes and puns. In this video, Jared letterpress printed greeting cards using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The ink is black rubber base ink and the type font is 30 point Caslon. The text reads “You’re so fly!” Also included is an image from a photo engraving depicting a cartoon of a pilot flying an airplane. This engraving was sent to us from Drew in Dallas. The back of the card includes an image of a Washington hand press and the words “Printed at the Sacramento History Museum.” This card will be available soon but there are other cards available in our Museum Store! • • • #plane #planes #greetingcard #pun #ink #typography #powerofthepress #unintentionalasmr #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramento #museum #history #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #printing #printmaking #oldsacramento
