March 1st is National Pig Day! This day honors the domesticated farm animal, who is actually quite intelligent. We took a little different of an approach today, however. For today, Howard letterpress printed a photo engraving from the Brett from Pennsylvania Collection. This was made in the 1960s and would have been used in a workplace safety manual or magazine. It depicts a worker with a pig’s head and messy workplace, alluding to having a pig sty. The text reads, “Anybody You Know? The guy who doesn’t keep his workplace clean -.” Do you keep a messy office? #SacHistoryMuseum #NationalPigDay #pig #pigs #sacramento #museum #History #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #printing
