Alex is traveling to Matsuyama in Japan to study abroad as part of graduate school and Matsuyama is a Sister City to Sacramento! In an effort to promote international cooperation, the Sacramento History Museum has prepared a series of videos highlighting the similarities between Matsuyama and Sacramento. In this video, Alex looks at the two universities in Sacramento and Matsuyama. Both were founded shortly after World War II, and initially served a similar sized population, although Sacramento is much larger today. Ehime University is renowned for its Super Science programs while Sacramento State is most known for its nursing and public affairs programs. Both schools have had several exchange programs over the years.
