Did you know that Sacramento has 12 Sister Cities worldwide and one of our staff members, Alex, is traveling to one of them? In this video, Alex highlights Sacramento’s Sister Cities. These include: Ashkelon, Israel; Bethlehem, Palestine; Chişinău, Moldova; Hamilton, New Zealand; Jinan, China; Liestal, Switzerland; Manila, Philippines; Matsuyama, Japan; Mexicali, Mexico; Pasay, Philippines; San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua; and Yongsan (Seoul), South Korea. Alex is traveling to Matsuyama to study abroad as part of graduate school and Matsuyama was made a Sister City on August 17, 1981. In an effort to promote international cooperation, the Sacramento History Museum has prepared a series of videos highlighting the similarities between Matsuyama and Sacramento. @Sacramento History Museum #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramentostate #matsuyama #japan #california #sacramento #museum #History
