Are you going to the Salt Lake Bees vs. the Sacramento River Cats game on April 19th? The Sacramento History Museum will be there making prints with guests and Alex will be throwing out the first pitch! In this video, Alex discusses the game and what attendees can letterpress print when they stop by our table. The electrotype of the baseball player, made in the 1940s, is from the Bill Gaylord Collection. The text “Go River Cats!” is set in 60 point Caslon font and “Printed at Sutter Health Park with the Sacramento History Museum” was set in 24 point Caslon font. This was printed with red rubber base ink using our wooden Provisional Press. • • • #rivercats #baseball #sutterhealthpark rivercats #typography #sacramento #oldsacramento #thingstodoinsacramento #hereinsac #sachistorymuseum #history #museum #printing #letterpress #printmaking #printingpress
