It’s the middle of spring and that means the summer and the California State Fair is just around the corner here in Sacramento, California! Our friend Poppy, the mascot for the castatefair, stopped by the print shop at the Sacramento History Museum to help get everyone thinking about the State Fair, which will be July 11th to the 27th this year! Well, we couldn’t let Poppy leave without printing something! In this video, Howard and Poppy letterpress printed a wanted poster with the name “Poppy” on the poster. This is an example of the wanted posters you can order in our museum store and website. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. • • • #poppy #castatefair #printmaking #sacramento #history #museum #printingpress #printing #typography #asmr #letterpress #visitsacramento #oldsac #hereinsac #thingstodoinsacramento #oldsacramento #sachistorymuseum
