April 5th is National Read A Road Map Day! This day promotes road map literacy and, even though we have apps on our phones, being able to read a map for navigation is still a useful skill. For today, Howard letterpress printed a large photo engraving of a map showing the freeways of California’s Bay Area. We are not sure why we have this engraving but we are thinking about having prints available in the future. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. • • • #NationalReadARoadMapDay #roadmap #bayarea #sanfrancisco #powerofthepress #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramento #museum #history #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #printing #printmaking #oldsacramento
