It is the Season of Giving and Giving Tuesday today, November 28th, is the perfect opportunity for people around the world to come together to support nonprofit organizations. Your gift to the Sacramento History Museum supports our school programs and allows us to provide scholarships to underserved schools so their students can visit the Museum. By learning outside the classroom students experience first hand knowledge through activities. In this video, Jared discusses Giving Tuesday, how you can support our Museum, and letterpress prints using the largest wood type that we have in our print shop. This type, made about 120-130 years ago, is 30 line pica and the phrase reads “PLEASE DONATE.” A large print calls for larger packing and a larger brayer. Consider making a donation and help us share history through the donation button on our page.
