Join us as we celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Sacramento History Museum with engaging cultural activities on Saturday, February 1st, from 10am to 1pm! Bring family and friends to the museum for this special event with activities such as making paper lanterns and paper fortune cookies, making red envelopes (includes a special “Good Luck” coin!), gold panning, enjoy the Lion Dance, and more! All activities will be included with museum admission! Also, you can make a special Year of the Snake print at the Print Shop! In this video, Alex prints an example of what visitors will be able to print at the event. This linocut of a snake was recently engraved by a colleague who works with Jared. The text above reads, “Year of the Snake” and the text below reads, “Sacramento History Museum. This was typeset in 36 point Cheltenham Condensed font.
