We get a lot of inquiries if we have letterpress printed greeting cards available and we do! Here is our “You are the 🍎 [apple] of my eye!” card. This was printed in pantone red pepper oil base ink using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The font is 30 point Stymie Bold Condensed and the electrotype of the apple was made 80-90 years ago and is from the Bill Gaylord Collection. 30 cards were printed in this press run. We thought today, September 26th, was a good day to post this because onthis day in 1774, John Chapman was born in Massachusetts. He was a nurseryman who planted a certain fruit tree across the Midwest. He is known by a different name in history as Johnny Appleseed. #SacHistoryMuseum #apple #greetingcard #onthisday #typography #printing #getcultured #museumtok
