Looking for a unique holiday card to accompany a gift this season? We are building up a variety of different greeting/holiday cards available in our museum store! In this video, Jared letterpress printed greeting cards with green rubber base ink. This press run involved printing 50 cards using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The front of the card was printed using a stock photo engraving that would be available in many letterpress printing offices and this cut was made 60-70 years ago. The image is of some Christmas greenery and a candle. The text “Happy Holidays!” Is 30 point Engravers Old English font. The back of the card includes an image of a Washington hand press and the words “Printed at the Sacramento History Museum.” • • • #greetingcard #greetingcards #holidaycard #happyholidays #ink #art #typography #powerofthepress #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramento #museum #history #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #oldsacramento #printmaking #printing
