December 5th is International Volunteer Day! This United Nations observance recognizes the efforts of volunteers in transforming their communities, societies, economies, and environment. Here at the Sacramento History Museum, we would like to thank all the hardworking volunteers and docents who help us tell our history and build connections with our local community.
Volunteers are a vital part of our museum’s operations and they assist with leading school programs at the museum, connecting with students across the country through virtual field trips, taking the museum to classrooms through outreach programs, presenting in Ghost Tours in October, and bringing history alive in the historic district of Old Sacramento during special events. We appreciate your time and talents.
