If you’re looking for a greeting card for a lighthearted occasion, we have you covered! In this video, Jared demonstrates letterpress printing greeting cards with black rubber base ink. This press run involved printing 40 cards using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The electrotype (copy of a woodcut) of soldiers firing a cannon is one of our newer cuts from Stephanie in Georgia and recently delivered by one of our local followers, David. . The type “Have a blast!” is 60 point Cheltenham Bold font. The back of the card includes an image of a Washington hand press and the words “Printed at the Sacramento History Museum.” This card and other cards are available in our Museum Store! • • • #greetingcard #greetingcards #ink #oddlysatisfying #art #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramento #museum #history #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #printing #oldsacramento #printmaking
