The Old Sacramento Waterfront is looking a bit more festive lately! Enjoy the holiday season in the historic district and be a part of the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, November 27th.
The first performance of the Theatre of Lights will follow the ceremony at the intersection of K and Front Streets. The nightly performances are Fridays and Saturdays through December 24 (no show on Thanksgiving Day).
The performance features a live-action retelling of Clement Moore’s 1823 poem — A Visit from St. Nicholas, more popularly known as The Night Before Christmas. The highlight of the 20-minute production is a live dramatization on the balconies above K Street, complete with a special appearance by Jack Frost, and the lighting of the 60-foot Christmas tree by St. Nick himself.
