For the 4th of July, today, Howard letterpress printed an image from an electrotype (copy of a woodcut) from the Bill Gaylord Collection. This cut, made roughly 90-100 years ago, depicts the State House bell, which used to ring in the tower of the Pennsylvania State House. You probably know that bell today as the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. #4thofjuly #independenceday #SacHistoryMuseum #museumtok #libertybell #printingpress
