October 15th is Global Hand Washing Day!Many viewers ask how we keep our hands clean around all of the ink and the answer is simple. We just try to not touch the ink! For today, Jared letterpress printed a photo engraving from the Brett from Pennsylvania Collection. The workplace cartoon image depicts two individuals and a fox washing their hands. A word bubble in the upper left corner states, “YEAH THIS NEW SOAP IS GREAT....TO BAD IT DONT CLEAN YOUR HANDS!” Most soap doesn’t work well at getting ink off of our hands. However, Grip Clean helps us get our hands at the end of the day and works great. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. • • • #GlobalHandWashingDay #gripclean #ink #art #powerofthepress #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramento #museum #history #letterpress #printingpress #asmr #printing #printmaking
