November 16th is National Button Day and we couldn’t think of a better woodcut to print than this one. We received this woodcut in January from one of our followers, Mark from Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is a woodcut of a phrase that appears in a lot of our print shop videos. For those wondering the origin of the phrase, “Press the red button, Howard,” it started about 14 months ago when Jared first asked Howard if roles could be reversed and he could print something for a video. While recording the video, Howard wondered how and when to stop recording. Jared said, “Press the red button,” referring to the stop button on a phone, and the phrase has stuck ever since. #SacHistoryMuseum #NationalButtonDay #button #museum #letterpress #printing #asmr #letterpress
