Catch-A-Calf is the longest-running practical beef management program at the #nwss, committed to investing in the next generation of agriculturalists for more than 85 years! ๐Ÿฎ It began in 1935 when 10 boys caught 10 sponsored calves, and quickly grew to include 52 calves by 1942. Soon after World War II, the program settled at 40 calves per year which is where the number still stands today. Today the participants (both boys and girls, ages 12-18) come from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Were you or someone you know a part of the program?
