A year and a half ago, Oscar, a salon leader in New Orleans, made the brave decision to begin his gender transition. Initially, Oscar was concerned about how his co-workers and pet parents would respond. “I struggled with anxiety and fear about my gender transition, but knew I had to live as my authentic self,” he said.
