As I’m digging deep into my archives to refresh and strengthen my portfolio - the further back I go, the less photos there are that I want to include and showcase because I’ve learned and grown so much in recent years and my more recent photos are much stronger and solid. But there’s a few that I’ve come across that I realize I never did anything with at all - didn’t even edit them because I used other photos from that batch to turn in on assignment. So, no one has EVER seen this photo before that I took of Clare Bowen and Chip Esten (aka Scarlett O’Connor and Deacon Claybourne in ABC’s Nashville) in 2015 when I was still pretty green in concert photography. This is why you shoot RAW! So that you can still do something with it 8 years later when you’re way better at editing (I think I was brand new to Lightroom around this time) 😂 So much more flexibility to “save” the photo when you are still honing in on your craft.
