🙋🏻‍♀️THE WOMEN IN UKRAINE Morning everyone! On this International Women’s Day I can’t stop thinking about the women in Ukraine. The woman who brought down a Russian surveillance drone by throwing a jar of gherkins at it from her balcony. The women who are having to escape with babies and small children with little or no food, warmth and comfort. The old woman who offered sunflower seeds to Russian soldiers to put in their pockets so that something good would grow where they died on the battlefield. The women having to give birth under shelling with little medical care. The women who are fighting after gaining the right to be soldiers in 2016 after the 2013/14 Maidan uprising. The women having to care for and try to escape with the elderly. The women who are having to leave their sons, brothers, husbands, fathers to fight.
