As I was walking down the blue stairs yesterday, I suddenly realised that I had subconsciously chosen a zebra rug for the top landing that mirrored the pattern formation of the mural I painted up the stairs. Not only that, but the whole thing mirrors the Blue Jay I painted last year, which I’d hung on the facing wall for the show (swipe to see a close-up)! I actually have another similar pattern going on with blush pink, as well as a habit of adding some spring greens to liven up both colours. Does anyone else find they repeatedly go back to similar patterns and colour combinations? . . I might show some more another time, but first, sleep again, as it’s Sunday and I don’t have a show on!! . . By the way, you may think I’m intentionally putting Duffy the fluffy puppy in my shots, but actually, a lot of the time - like with this shot - he adds himself, because he follows me everywhere and is always looking to see where I am.
