Morning! MINI MAKEOVER REVEAL of this side of the bathroom, which is opposite the zig zag wall. I love the fact that we have stairs in the bathroom - can anyone guess where they lead?! . . Anyway, I seem to have got addicted to painting door surrounds, because I just love how they create gorgeous framed vignettes throughout the flat, like this one leading into the pink hallway - and also, how much they can change the feel of a room with just a tester pot worth’s of paint. So yesterday I painted this one a muted olive green and finally painted the wall pink. The whole bathroom scheme was inspired by the colours in this orchid photograph, given to me years ago by the architectural photographer, timothysoarphotographer and so this green picks up the mid-tones in the flower. When you’re using bright colour I do think it works well to balance it out with contrasting muted tones. . . I’m full on today, because the wheels have all been set in motion for the preview show of our Crystal Palace ...
