Yesterday, while I was doing a bit of spring cleaning ahead of a magazine coming round to interview me today, I took the big iMac off my desk to clean it properly and oh it was so lovely just to have a big empty table with no electronics or wires!! And it was all so quiet and peaceful, because my son was deep in his X Box upstairs and my daughter was away for the afternoon, so that I could prepare for a talk I was giving last night (see stories). So with some delight, I took an hour just to enjoy it and start some sketching. Bliss! . . And this is because, I am OPENING MY FLAT to the public in three weeks time as part of an event that I organise, The Crystal Palace Artists’ Open House!!! During the event, loads of artists and designers in the area (92 to be precise) open their homes and studios to the public and exhibit their work.
