A new view! This is taken from the entrance of the zig zag bathroom, looking into the kitchen. You can just see the blue door frame of the living room on the far left and the bottom step of the blue stairs. . . For this picture I’ve put books on the step, but usually half the steps are piled up with the kids’ toys and clothes that they’ve left scattered around downstairs - it’s my prompt for them to take them up to their rooms, although more often than not I end up doing it, because I want the stairs clear! . . Talking of books, I’ve realised that nearly all my books now are art and design books or business books. I used to be a real bookworm as a kid and was totally into autobiographies, Dickens and Russian novels when I was about 12 (??!!).
