I realise that everything is going Christmasy at the moment, so this picture is entirely unseasonal, but my daughter’s birthday is on 16th December, so we never get a tree or decorate anything until the 17th. Until that moment we fully embrace Summer colours in our home! So I thought I would delight with you in the fact that my kids have finally come round to the idea of us keeping the bright blue wall in our living room that I’d painted for the latest photo shoot. Hurray! So this is the same colour as the blue leaf fronds I just painted in the stairway mural. I absolutely love it and art just looks so fantastic hung against it. I particularly love how this very old painting I did of a lemon on a shelf just pops against the deep blue, especially now that I’ve tray-framed it. The only issue is that the picture wire now really stands out, so I think I’m going to have to switch to fishing line instead. Anyway, does anyone else delay Christmas in their house?! . .
