Back to my living room for the Ginkgo in Sunshine velvet cushion and lamp. This wall colour is deliciously dramatic - Hicks’ Blue by Little Greene - and is fabulous as a backdrop to the pretty pinks and yellows. In real life these pinks and yellows actually look wonderful in a softer context too - paler walls, less structure, softer lighting - but for the photograph I wanted good separation and to really highlight them. I also love the way the Ptolemy Mann rug picks up the warm yellows and grounds it all. I won’t be keeping this dark wall colour in the living room though - watch this space for what I decide in the end! By the way, the chair is one I upcycled from Brixton market! . .
