This is the same corner of my bedroom as yesterday’s shot, but completely transformed again! I painted over the Canton on the walls with this gorgeous blue-grey called Blue Gum by Paint and Paper Library. I really love how this soft muted blue supports the vividness of the oranges and pinks in my new Ginkgo in Coral lamp and cushion. In fact, it’s a great trick when creating colour schemes, to use a combination of dull and bright and to highlight with colours from the opposite side of the colour wheel. . . Also, this Saturday it’s my 50th birthday AND it’s the second weekend of my show for the Wandsworth Artists Open House. So as a little celebration on Saturday I’m having a lucky dip, where I’ll be giving away 50 items, which could be anything from a greeting card to a set of bed linen to a crystal glass lamp base!
