Well camping with Coco was wet! It rained from about 9pm and then all night until about 9am the next morning. Coco and her friend, who I was also looking after, both had small one-person tents, so I ended up having to kneel on the sodden grass and mud in the pouring rain to settle them each in - I had no waterproofs with me. While all the kids were playing (they had soooo much fun!) it also turned out they had been using my bigger tent as a feasting den - and had left the entrance unzipped, so when I finally got to bed, the end of my bed was also soaking wet. After a somewhat uncomfortable and damp night (or shall we say, 4.5 hours) I woke up in the only dry clothes I had left - my pyjamas - and emerged from my tent, only to be sprayed with a water gun by one of the boys! It was all totally worth it for the kids, who had a brilliant time despite the rain, but It’s actually taken me until today to recover and catch up on sleep 😂 And I’m supposed to be doing it all again this weekend w...
