#myhousethismonth Day 2 - On the Chair On the chair are a Designers Guild cushion and fabric, two of the art books that inspired me to paint again years ago & the latest addition to my daughter’s growing cactus collection! . . . With the long sunny evenings upon us, I have discovered that this chair in this exact spot, with the living room windows wide open, means I can sit bathing in the full glow of the evening sun until it goes down! I actually had to pull the blinds down to take this shot because the sun was shining so brightly on the chair. Anyway, I’m totally in love with this colour combination of blush, cobalt and grass at the moment, which seems to work so well in this West facing room. I love pink for making it feel warm and welcoming whenever we walk in, even when it’s dark in the mornings, but too much pink and orange would have been overwhelming when all that pinky golden afternoon light floods in, so I’ve counteracted it with cooler blues and greens.
