Just delighting in the small things this morning. Things piled on the kitchen mantlepiece, creating beautiful shadows of early morning light, as I sort out the house after an incredibly full on weekend of opening our home for the Artists’ open house. Thank you so much to everyone who came - what a wonderful group of people! Mainly local neighbors, but also people who’d traveled across London to come. At one point mid afternoon yesterday I actually didn’t know if I could keep going, as it was non stop greeting lovely visitors, talking about my work, arranging sales and attempting to shepherd my kids through it all, as they began to flag as well. But in those moments you have to just take a deep breath, smile and listen to the person in front of you, appreciating the generosity of everyone coming, which was just amazing - and then it all seems to be fine again. And now I need to start painting new work for the Dulwich Artists’s Open House which opens on Saturday! . . #annajacobs #annajac...
