When I landed in my old Dulwich flat nearly 9 years ago, as a single parent of a 9 month old baby and a toddler, having lost pretty much everything, I had to sell my beautiful Heal’s 4 poster bed and lots of other furniture, just to keep feeding the kids. For months I slept on a mattress on the floor, but then my amazing friends, sallymais and andy_price_music, said they had an old bed in their attic that I could borrow. 9 years later I still have it and now they’ve said I can keep it! While building my business, I kept painting this one little corner of it different colours for various product shoots, but now I’ve found the perfect color, which I totally love - Myland’s Long Acre. So now I’ve finally painted the whole bed! In fact, I didn’t do it, my amazing fellow Crystal Palace Artists’ Open House buddies painted it the night before the show opened - thanks so much glenkeegan and untoldjewellerylondon!
