Progress on my next design! I’ve come to Wales with the kids, so that they can run around like wild things, while I paint. Of course, being Wales, it actually rained all day yesterday, but the day before was totally glorious and unexpectedly, the actor Dominic West (The Wire, The Affair, etc) turned up with two of his daughters! So spent the day hanging out with him by the pool, on the beach and in the pub - he’s really lovely, very self deprecating and very funny - and it turns out we were born just 3 days apart! Anyway, I got distracted, back to the painting - if you swipe left you can see how I try out and practise every bit before I paint on the actual picture - and swipe again to see the whole final drawing. I’m painting in ink, pen and brush, on water colour paper. By the end of the day I should have finished! . . . #annajacobs #annajacobsart #annajacobsdesign #art #design #painting #drawing #bird #birdsofinstagram #starling #violetbackedstarling #violet #purple #pink #wales
