Another truly lovely guest at the opening of my shop - Oliver Heath! A fantastic eco architect who is passionate about biophilic design and one of the most sensitive and creative designers on programmes like DIY SOS and Changing Rooms, as well as a guest judge on the Great Interior Design Challenge. I was introduced to Oliver about 5 years ago, so that he could give me advice about giving my very first public talk, which was on upcycling furniture at the House & Garden festival at Olympia. He was so incredibly generous with his time and advice, especially as I was yet to become a designer and was an unknown at the beginning of my career. As I was waiting to go on stage to give that talk (and it was a TINY stage with only about 30 people watching) I thought I was going to throw up I was so nervous!
