But I remember when I had a young family and I was wondering if I could provide for my kids and for my wife, I ran into the scripture over and over in 3 Nephi 13:33. And it says, ‘Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.’ “I remember reading it over and over and over and clinging to that promise that if I put God first—I keep the commandments, I pay my tithing, I work as hard as I can—He will take care of me. He will provide for me. And after that sunk in, all the fears went away and the career has been so much better. And I don’t have to focus on finances, but I can just focus on how can I build people up? How can I be a small part of His kingdom?
