Today NASA celebrates 40 years of women in space. On June 18, 1983, Sally Ride became the first American woman to fly to space, paving the way for a future of women spacefarers. As we look ahead to the future of space exploration, the women astronauts of NASA continue to take flight and make history, inspired by Sally Ride’s impact and achievements.
